Zipf's spent most of his life on the road, played with some pretty incredible artist and some crazy places (including SXSW and being featured in PASTE), but he's never focused on money at the expense of the music. He's predicted many of the changes we're seeing in the record industry and has refused to be strapped to an overly demanding record label. For him, music is about the live experience and not trying to package some commercially viable product. Maybe you'd get into that.
He'll be coming to Franklin on January 21st when he brings one of the most inventive musical shows, the Pfriends on Pfilm tour, to town. It'll be a unique fusion of music, images, and live video that tells a story that would move even the most cynical music lovers.
