Brennan Manning Artist Retreat

This time last year I had the chance to hang w/ Donald Miller (Blue Like Jazz) at in artist retreat in Nashville. It was an amazing time for reflection, questions, answers, authenticity, and inspiration.

This year was amazing as well. Brennan Manning was our guest communicator. What seemed to be a fragile old man took the stage and ignited into a powerful magnet of utter inspiration. I've read a couple of his books, and I still took 5 pages of notes.

I have traveled a lot. I have heard many speakers / communicators / preachers. Some of which I have even heard be critical of Mr. Manning's message and ministry.

Brennan speaks wisdom & experience beyond even his years!!! The small circuit of popular evangelical personalities would find it wise to rid themselves of the endless banter and just speak truth and love.... which is what the younger generations NEED.

Brennan, thank you for your words, wisdom, and message... and for helping me continue to heal my image of God and myself. Godspeed.

P.O.D. Brings The Rock With Testify!

P.O.D. (Payable On Death) has been one of my favorite Rock bands for about 10 years (yes before they were on the charts).

Their new CD "Testify" (9th release) is in stores next TUES the 24th. It is one of their best efforts to date, as well as one of the most BOLD!

One movie that I am looking forward to this year is Superman!!! That's right. I like Spiderman and Batman, but always been partial to the "man of steel". He's frikin' SUPERMAN!!!

The US record sales were down overall in 2005. Read more HERE.

The top three best-selling albums of 2005 through Dec. 21 were rapper 50 Cent's "The Massacre," which had sold 4.8 million copies, followed by Mariah Carey's "The Emancipation of Mimi" with 4.6 million sold, and Kelly Clarkson's "Breakaway," which sold 3.3 million units, Nielsen SoundScan said.
